I have lived in Vermont all my life and have always had a love for art. I studied as an art major and art history minor at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. I received my B.A. summa cum laude in May, 2000.
I primarily work in oils but have experience in many disciplines. I prefer working from life with varied subject matter. I enjoy creating still-lives from everyday objects as well as portraiture. During college I spent a summer doing landscapes in the vein of Tom Thomson and the Canadian Seven. This fast, bold, in-the-moment method quickly worked its way into all my paintings.
Since college I have been working full-time and painting as I can. I have not yet had any of my work exhibited professionally but have made some private sales.
